DAAD Moving Target Digitalisation 2022

From 30th of November to 2nd of December a diverse crowd of people came together to discuss recent advances in the digitalisation of higher education. The event was truly hybrid with sessions from three stages at the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities in Berlin broadcast live online, virtual presentations of participants that could not be present in person and workshops with participatory formats on a video conference tool.

There were four different streams of topics, namely:
Digital Credentials and Trust Networks in Education
Linking Digital Education Services
Virtual Exchange and Blended Mobility
European Strategies for Digital Education

As part of the stream “Linking Digital Education Services” PIM was introduced as one of the projects to the German national education platform in the opening speech by the German federal ministry of education and research on day 3.

PIM presented a poster as part of the poster walk of the projects of the German national education platform and a talk about the Go Live of PIM at the University of Göttingen. Rolling out a software that is still in development comes with its own set of challenges. However, to create the best PIM possible, feedback of these early adopters is particularly valuable for further development of PIM but also in guiding our efforts to set up support structures for a sustainable long-term use of PIM.
